Chocolate Chess Pie

- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 5 Tbsp. cocoa
- 3 eggs
- 3 Tbsp. butter (margarine)
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- dash of salt
- 9-inch frozen or prepared pie crust
Directions

1Mix together sugar and cocoa.

2Put eggs in medium bowl and beat with a fork until fluffy.

3Mix other ingredients into eggs, stirring until smooth and bubbly.

4Pour into 9-inch prepared or frozen crust.

5Bake at 350° on bottom rack.

6Pie is done when center shakes like congealed jello and knife inserted in center comes out clean.

7Makes one pie.

8Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
