  • 2 1/4 cups 2-percent milk
  • 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons light agave nectar
  • Kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions

    Cook the milk, chocolate, cocoa powder, agave and a pinch of salt in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, whisking constantly, until the chocolate melts and the cocoa dissolves, 6 to 8 minutes.

    Stir in the chia seeds and vanilla.

    Let cool, stirring every 10 minutes, to room temperature, about 1 hour.
