- 3 cups firm white bread, cubes
- 12 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 large eggs
- 13 cup sugar
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 12 cup heavy cream
- vanilla ice cream
- chocolate syrup
Directions

1Generously butter a 2-quart baking dish or casserole.

2Combine bread and chocolate chips in the buttered dish.

3Whisk together eggs, sugar and salt in a medium bowl.

4Gradually whisk in milk and cream.

5Drizzle over bread cube mixture; wrap tightly and refrigerate until ready to bake, several hours or overnight.

6At least 1 1/2 hours before serving, preheat oven to 350 degrees.

7Uncover baking dish and place on rimmed baking sheet.

8Bake pudding until golden brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean, 50 to 60 minutes.

9Set aside to cool slightly before serving.

10To serve, divide pudding among 6 bowls.
