  • 1 c. margarine
  • 3/4 c. white sugar
  • 3/4 c. packed light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla and salt
  • 2 1/4 c. flour, divided
  • 1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1 tsp. hot water
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 2 c. nuts

Directions

    Cream the butter and sugars.

    Beat in eggs, vanilla and salt. Stir in 1 1/4 cups flour and soda.

    Stir in remaining flour. Add chocolate and nuts.

    Roll in balls and flatten with fork.

    Place on foil lined cookie sheets. Bake at 375° about 12 minutes.
