- 1 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. white sugar
- 3/4 c. packed light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla and salt
- 2 1/4 c. flour, divided
- 1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1 tsp. hot water
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 2 c. nuts
Directions

1Cream the butter and sugars.

2Beat in eggs, vanilla and salt. Stir in 1 1/4 cups flour and soda.

3Stir in remaining flour. Add chocolate and nuts.

4Roll in balls and flatten with fork.

5Place on foil lined cookie sheets. Bake at 375° about 12 minutes.
