Chocolate Covered Cherries

  • maraschino cherries
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1/3 c. white syrup
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 bar paraffin
  • 16 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Directions

    Drain cherries well.

    Mix sugar, syrup, butter and vanilla. Knead until smooth.

    Pinch a small piece off and wrap around each cherry.

    Place on well buttered pan and chill several hours. Melt paraffin and chips over hot water.

    Dip each fondant ball into mix and place on buttered dish.
