Chocolate Covered Cherries

- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 lb. confectioners sugar
- 1/4 lb. softened butter
- 3 (10 oz.) jars maraschino cherries, drained
- 16 oz. chocolate morsels
- 1/2 bar paraffin
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Combine milk, butter, sugar and vanilla.

2Let stand for 1 hour.

3Press some of the mixture around each drained cherry.

4Let dry.
-
5Combine chocolate morsels and paraffin in top of double boiler over hot water.

6Heat until chocolate and paraffin are melted.

7Cool slightly.
-
8Dip balls into chocolate, then place on waxed paper to harden.

9Age for 2 weeks.
-
10Yields 75 to 100 pieces.
