  • 8 oz semi sweet chocolate
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 3/4 cup cake flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 egg whites

    Preheat oven to 375

    Melt chocolate, milk, brown sugar, and single egg yolk over double boiler (remove from heat when smooth and thick)

    Sift flour, soda, and salt together

    Beat butter, sugar, egg yolks, 3/4 cup milk, and vanilla until smooth

    Slowly add in flour mixture and stir tell smooth then add melted chocolate

    Beat eggs whites until stiff, then fold into batter

    Bake for 20-25 minutes

    Allow to cool for 10 mins in pan, and then remove from pan to finish cooling
