Chocolate Custard Bread Pudding

- 1 1/2 sq. Baker's unsweetened chocolate
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. cubed stale bread
Directions

1Add chocolate to milk; heat in double boiler.

2When chocolate is melted, stir until blended.

3Beat eggs until foamy.

4Add sugar and salt gradually, then add chocolate mixture and vanilla.

5Place bread in greased baking dish.

6Pour mixture over it; let stand 10 minutes.

7Mix well before baking.

8Place dish in hot water.

9Bake in moderate oven at 350° for 50 minutes, or until pudding is firm.
