  • 1/2 c. butter (1 cube)
  • 2 sq. chocolate, melted
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. cake flour

    Melt chocolate and cool. Cream the butter and sugar.

    Sift and measure the flour.

    Add chocolate to sugar and butter.

    Add beaten egg yolks. Add flour and milk alternately.

    Add nuts and vanilla. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
