  • 2 c. (8 oz. box) vanilla wafers
  • 2/3 c. butter
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 qt. green mint ice cream

Directions

    Cover bottom of a 9 x 12-inch baking dish with vanilla wafer crumbs.

    Cream butter and powdered sugar.

    Separate eggs; beat yolk and add to creamed mixture.

    Melt chocolate and add with nuts and vanilla to mixture.

    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture.

    Spread over the crumbs and refrigerate for 3 hours. Spread ice cream over all.

    Cover and store in freezer.

    Cut in squares and serve, topped with whipped cream and maraschino cherry.
