- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. white corn syrup
- 1/3 c. strained honey
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 egg whites
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 lb. dipping chocolate
Directions

1Combine sugar, syrup, honey and water.

2Stir occasionally. Boil to hard ball stage (265° to 270°).

3Add salt to eggs.

4Beat until stiff.

5Gradually pour on half of the syrup, beating constantly with the eggbeater or a spoon.

6Boil remaining syrup to hard crack stage (285° to 290°).

7Pour gradually onto egg mixture, beating constantly.

8Place over heat on asbestos mat.
-
9Beat until thick.
-
10Add flavoring and nuts.

11Pour into well buttered, shallow pans.

12When cool, cut in squares.

13Coat these with melted chocolate.
