Chocolate Nut Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 (6 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 1/2 c. crushed vanilla wafers
  • 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. walnuts or pecans
  • 1/3 c. orange juice

Directions

    In heavy 2-quart saucepan, cook undiluted milk and chocolate chips over medium heat, stirring until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.

    Remove from heat.

    Add crushed wafers, sugar, 1/2 cup nuts and orange juice; mix well.

    Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.

    Shape into balls 1-inch in diameter. Roll in remaining nuts.

    Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.

    Yields 4 dozen.
