  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. light corn syrup
  • 2 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate, melted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. large pecan pieces

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400°.

    Beat eggs in a large bowl.

    Stir in sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, chocolate and vanilla; mix thoroughly but do not overbeat.

    Sprinkle pecans in shell.

    Pour filling mixture over pecans.

    Bake for 15 minutes.

    Lower heat to 325° and continue to bake until filling is puffed and set about 45 to 50 minutes.
