Chocolate Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. pkg. German sweet chocolate or 4 sq. semi-sweet chocolate
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. light or dark Karo syrup
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. pecan halves
  • 9-inch unbaked pastry shell

Directions

    Melt chocolate and let cool slightly.

    In large bowl, combine chocolate, eggs, syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla.

    Blend well. Stir in pecans.

    Pour into pastry shell.

    Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.
