- 4 oz. pkg. German sweet chocolate or 4 sq. semi-sweet chocolate
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. light or dark Karo syrup
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. pecan halves
- 9-inch unbaked pastry shell
Directions

1Melt chocolate and let cool slightly.

2In large bowl, combine chocolate, eggs, syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla.

3Blend well. Stir in pecans.

4Pour into pastry shell.

5Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.

6Cool.

7Serves 8.
