- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped pecans, divided
- 1/2 c. flaked coconuts
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
Directions

1Combine first 4 ingredients in a heavy saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.

2Let cool slightly.

3Add eggs, vanilla and salt, stirring well.

4Stir in 1/2 cup pecans and coconut; pour filling into unbaked shell and top with remaining 1/2 cup pecans.

5Bake at 325° for 55 minutes. Yield:
