- 34 cup sugar
- 1 cup dark corn syrup or 1 cup Karo syrup
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 1 12 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 34 cups pecan halves

Directions

1Preheat oven to 300 F degrees .

2Combine butter and chocolate in small saucepan and set to melt over low heat.

3In a separate bowl, combine and beat sugar, Karo, salt, flour and eggs.

4Stir chocolate mixture occasionally until melted, smooth in finish.

5Combine chocolate sauce and vanilla with sugar mixture.

6Stir in pecans and pour into unbaked pie shell.

7Bake for one hour or until the filling cracks a few times in the center.
