- BASE
- 100 g butter
- 1/4 cup caster sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- FILLING
- 100 g butter
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup golden syrup
- 1 1/2 cups pecan nuts
- TOPPING
- 50 -100 g dark chocolate
- 1/4 cup butter
Directions

2Cream butter & sugar together.

3Sift together the flour and cocoa and add to creamed mixture.

4Press into a baking paper lined sponge roll/slice tin.

5Bake at 170'C for 10 minutes.

6FILLING:.

7Bring all ingredients, except the nuts, to the boil in a pot.

8Simmer for at least 10 minutes (the longer it cooks, the firmer it sets).

9Pour over cooked base.

10Cover with the pecan nuts.

11TOPPING:.

12Melt together the chocolate and butter.

13Spread over the nuts.

14Slice when cooled.
