Chocolate Pecan Torte

- 1 unbaked pie dough
- 1 Tbsp butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Directions

1Roll prepared pie dough to fit an 11 inch torte pan.

2Cut away any excess dough.

3Set aside.

4In 2 quart bowl, cream butter and sugar thoroughly.

5Add eggs, syrup and vanilla, mix well.

6Place chips and nuts in bottom of torte pan.

7Pour egg mixture on top.

8Bake at 300° on middle or lower oven rack for 45 minutes or until firm in center.

9Cool completely before serving.
