- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. flour
- 3 Tbsp. cocoa
- pinch of salt
- 12 oz. canned milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 8-inch or 9-inch baked pie crust
Directions

1Combine sugar, flour, cocoa and salt in medium saucepan.

2Stir in milk.

3Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly.

4Mix a small amount of lukewarm milk and sugar mixture with beaten egg.

5Set egg mixture aside.

6Continue to cook milk mixture until it starts to boil and thicken.

7Stir in egg mixture.

8Turn heat to low and cook for 2 minutes.

9Remove and stir in margarine and vanilla. Pour in cooled pie crust.

10When cool, top with Cool Whip.
