- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 c. hot milk
- 6 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 1/2 sq. chocolate or 3 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1/8 tsp. salt
Directions

1Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt.

2Add the hot milk, stirring constantly.

3Cook in double boiler until mixture is thick.

4Cool slightly.

5Pour into baked pastry shell.

6Cover with meringue made from the egg whites and bake in a slow oven (250° to 300°) until a delicate brown.
