- 1 c. Crisco
- 1 stick margarine
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. milk
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Sift all dry ingredients together 4 or 5 times.

2Set aside. Cream Crisco and sugar; add eggs one at a time and beat well.

3Add flavoring, then add flour that has been sifted together with dry ingredients alternately with milk.

4Bake in a greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes at 325°.

5Baking time may vary with each oven.
