- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. margarine, softened
- 3/4 c. packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 c. pecans (optional)
- 2 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Directions

1In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.

2In large mixing bowl, cream butter, brown sugar and vanilla for 2 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.

3Beat in dry ingredients. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of morsels and the optional pecans.

4Spoon into greased 9 x 4 loaf pan.

5Bake in preheated oven at 325° for 55 to 60 minutes.

6Cool in pan for 20 minutes.

7Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack.
