  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. cake flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream butter and shortening.

    Add sugar and eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.

    Sift all dry ingredients together.

    Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

    Add vanilla and bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until done.
