  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 c. cocoa

Directions

    Cream the butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add dry ingredients. Add milk and vanilla.

    Pour into greased and floured Bundt pan and bake at 300° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

    Let cool slightly (about 15 to 20 minutes) and remove from pan on cake plate.
