- 2 sticks margarine or butter
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
- 5 eggs (unbeaten)
- 3 c. sifted cake flour (I use Red Band)
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1 c. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Cream the shortening and margarine; add sugar and beat until creamy.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

4Sift flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa together 3 times.

5Add to mixture alternately with milk which vanilla has been added to.

6Blend thoroughly and put into a greased and lightly floured tube pan.

7Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
