  • 1 1/2 c. butter
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream the butter and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift dry ingredients together 3 times.

    Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

    Add vanilla.

    Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
