- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 5 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Sift together 3 times the flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter, Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Add dry ingredients alternately with milk.

4Add vanilla.

5Mix well.

6Bake in a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
