- 3 cups sugar
- 1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter
- 1/4 pound (1 stick) margarine
- 5 eggs
- 3 cups cake flour
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Mix sugar with butter and margarine; add eggs one at a time, beating after each.

3Mix together dry ingredients.

4Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to butter mixture, beginning with flour and ending with flour.

6Bake in a greased and floured tube pan for about 1 hour.
