- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1 c. sweet milk
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 5 eggs
Directions

1Cream the butter, Crisco and sugar.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each one is added.

3Sift dry ingredients, including cocoa.

4Add alternately with milk and vanilla, ending with dry ingredients.

5Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
