Ingredients

  • 3 c. milk, scalded (do not boil)
  • 1 c. milk or cream
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 8 Tbsp. flour
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 Tbsp. chocolate
  • dash of salt

Directions

    Mix dry ingredients.

    Add egg yolks and cup of milk.
  3. 3
    Slowly stir into scalded milk and cook until thick.

    Pour into oven-safe container.

    If desired top with meringue, made by beating 3 egg whites until stiff; and beating in 3 heaping tablespoons sugar. Put on top and brown in 350° oven.
