Chocolate Raspberry Cake

  • 1 (18.25 oz.) pkg. butter recipe chocolate cake mix with pudding
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 1/4 c. Chambord or other raspberry flavored liqueur (optional)
  • 1/2 c. seedless raspberry jam
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped pecans, toasted

Directions

    Prepare cake mix according to package directions.

    Stir in 1 cup chocolate chip morsels.

    Spread batter into 2 greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.

    Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until wooden pick comes out clean.

    Cool in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes.

    Remove from pans and cool completely on wire racks.
