  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. cocoa
  • 3 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. rum liquor
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 c. very hot strong coffee, prepared
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)

Directions

    Mix all ingredients.

    Beat with mixer 5 minutes.

    Place in 2 (9-inch) greased and floured pans.

    Bake at 350° for approximately 25 to 35 minutes until top of cake springs back when touched. Moist cake.
