- 4 (1 oz.) sq. baking chocolate (unsweetened)
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 (14 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- dash of mace or nutmeg (may be omitted)
Directions

1Melt chocolate over low heat; stir in sugar, milk, vanilla and mace.

2Mix well.

3Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and thickened.

4Excellent over pound cake, sponge cake, bread pudding or ice cream.

5Makes 2 1/2 cups.
