- 5 oz. unsweetened chocolate, finely chopped
- 1/3 c. unsalted butter
- 3 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla or favorite liqueur to taste
Directions

1Put chocolate and butter into a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan.

2Cook and stir over low heat just until chocolate melts. Remove pan from heat and alternately stir in sugar and milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 5 to 8 minutes.

3Add vanilla or liqueur.

4Refrigerate, covered, up to 3 weeks.

5Makes about 3 cups.
