- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions

1Combine flour and sugar in a large mixing bowl; set aside.

2Combine water, butter, shortening, and cocoa in a heavy saucepan; bring to a boil. Pour chocolate mixture over flour mixture; blend well. Add next 5 ingredients; mix well.

3Pour batter into a lightly greased 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 400° for 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Spread Chocolate- Peanut Frosting over cake.
