- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 sticks oleo
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Mix the flour, sugar, soda and salt.

2Bring to a rapid boil the oleo, cocoa and water.

3Pour over the dry ingredients while hot; stir well and add the buttermilk, eggs and vanilla.

4Bake in a large cookie sheet with sides and bottom, greased and floured, at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.

5Cook the icing while the cake is baking.

6Put on while the cake and icing are hot.
