  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    In saucepan, combine cocoa, water and margarine.

    Bring to a boil.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar and soda.

    Add chocolate mixture and stir until smooth. Add buttermilk and slightly beaten eggs and vanilla.

    Stir until well blended.

    Pour into greased oblong baking dish and bake at 350° for approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
