  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions

    Sift flour, salt and sugar into mixing bowl.

    Put cocoa, water and oil in saucepan.

    Bring to a boil.

    Pour over dry ingredients while hot.

    Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add to mixture along with eggs and vanilla.

    Beat until smooth.

    Grease and flour a large sheet pan, 18 X 12 X 1. Pour into pan and bake 18 minutes at 400.
