  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. soda

Directions

    Bring to boil margarine, water, shortening and cocoa.

    Set aside.

    Mix together flour, sugar and salt.

    Pour liquid ingredients over dry ingredients and add buttermilk, soda, eggs and vanilla.

    Bake in 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan that has been buttered. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes.
