  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. (1/2 lb.) margarine
  • 1/3 c. cocoa
  • 2 eggs

Directions

    Place sugar, flour and salt in mixing bowl.

    In medium pan, bring water, cocoa and margarine to boil.
  3. 3
    Immediately add to dry ingredients; mix well and add eggs, sour cream and soda, mixing after each addition.

    Batter will be thin.

    Bake in greased sheet cake pan at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.

    Prepare frosting while cake is baking.
