  • 1 c. unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 c. sugar (8 oz.)
  • 2 egg whites
  • 8 oz. baking chocolate
  • 3 boxes Lorna Doone cookies
  • 3 c. finely chopped nuts
  • hot milk
  • nuts, glazed fruit or chocolate curls (for garnish)

Directions

    Cream butter in mixer bowl until light; add sugar slowly until very light and fluffy.

    Beat for 10 minutes.

    In separate bowl, make meringue of the 2 egg whites and add to creamed mixture.
