- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 1/4 c. sifted flour
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Sift flour, blend into creamed butter mixture.

3Butter a 2-quart small square Pyrex dish and press dough evenly over bottom.

4Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

5Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over top.

6Bake 5 minutes more.

7Smooth melted chocolate evenly over top with back of spoon.

8Sprinkle with chopped walnuts and allow to cool.

9Cut into squares.

10Makes 12 bars.
