Chocolate Walnut Drops

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. nuts (black walnuts)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Heat oven to 350°.

    Sift flour, baking soda and salt together. Work butter with a spoon until creamy.

    Add sugar and cream together until light and fluffy.

    Add egg and chocolate; blend well.

    Add vanilla and nuts.

    Drop by spoonful onto baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes.

    Let cool.

    Frost with buttercream frosting (usually on back of powdered sugar box).
