Ingredients
- 1 c. margarine or butter
- 1 c. milk
- 2 3/4 c. flour
- 3 oz. melted chocolate
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 cake or pkg. yeast
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 c. each raisins and nuts
Directions

1Cream sugar and shortening until fluffy.

2Add 3 egg yolks and yeast which has been dissolved in water.

3Sift flour, soda and salt 3 times.

4Beat egg whites until stiff.

5Set aside.

6Add flour, milk and vanilla alternately to creamed mixture.

7Add raisins or nuts.

8Fold in egg whites.
-
9Cover with cloth or Saran Wrap and let stand 6 hours or overnight.

10Bake in tube pan 30 to 35 minutes at 350°.

11Can be frosted or dust 10x sugar.
