  • 4 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1 lb. diced pork and veal
  • 2 c. sliced chopped onion
  • 2 c. diced celery
  • 1 large can mushrooms
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1 large can bean sprouts, drain and save
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 lb. rice (raw or Minute)

Directions

    Brown meat in oleo, then add onion, celery and mushrooms; brown until tender.

    Add juice from bean sprouts plus enough water to make 1 1/2 cups, salt and molasses.

    Cook on low heat until meat is tender, about 1 1/2 hours.

    Dissolve cornstarch in 1/2 cup water. Add soy sauce.

    Stir into meat.

    Cook for 7 minutes or until thick. Serve over rice.
