- 1 roast Boston Butt
- 1/4 cup kosher salt
- 1/4 cup paprika
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 cups cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup tomato juice
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes crushed

11. Heat a smoker with hickory and oak to 225 degrees

22. Combine all of the dry ingredients for the pork in a bowl, and massage the rub into the Boston butt

33. Place on a rack in the smoker, and let cook for about 12-13 hours, or until an internal temperature of 190 is reached

44. Combine all of the ingredients for the sauce in a pot, bring to a boil, and reserve

55. When the pork is done, remove excess fat, and bone, chop to desired consistency
