Chorizo-Beer Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. chorizo or Italian sausage, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 3 lb. top round or stew meat, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 2 to 4 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 (12 oz.) can beer
  • 2 (4 oz.) cans green chili peppers, chopped (or jalapenos for hot!)
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans pinto or kidney beans
  • shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Brown sausage and beef in a large stew pot. Drain and add onions and garlic.

    Return and add other ingredients.

    Bring to boil.

    Cook 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.

    Serve with cheese.
