Ingredients

  • 3 large onions
  • 5 green tomatoes, stem ends removed
  • 6 green peppers
  • 1/4 pickling salt
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 c. shredded cabbage
  • 6 red peppers
  • 2 c. cauliflower
  • 12 hot red and green peppers (6 each)
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 3/4 tsp. turmeric

Directions

    Coarsely grind onions, tomatoes, green and red peppers, and (hot) green and red peppers.

    Add cabbage. Sprinkle with pickling salt.

    Let stand overnight.

    Rinse and drain.
