Ingredients

  • 1/2 gal. green tomatoes
  • 1/2 gal. cabbage
  • 1/2 gal. cucumbers
  • 6 green bell peppers
  • 6 onions (medium to large)
  • 3/4 c. salt
  • 6 hot peppers (optional)
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard

Directions

    Chop green tomatoes, cabbage, cucumbers, green bell peppers, onions and hot peppers.

    (May be very fine if you like.)

    Mix together with salt and cover with ice.

    Let stand for 2 hours. Drain.
