  • 3 average cabbage heads
  • 5 sweet peppers
  • a little bit red pepper (hot)
  • 5 cucumbers
  • 3 large onions
  • 3 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 c. red vinegar
  • 1 tsp. celery seed

Directions

    Wash and chop cabbage, peppers, cucumbers and onions together. Add salt; let stand for 3 hours.

    Drain.

    Boil the sugar, vinegar and celery seed; add to chopped ingredients.

    Can while hot.
